Had some first tracks under gondala but nowt special. It seems ski patrol doesnt exist so a quick exit if injured off piste be non event. So my advice unless you have no wish to return home dont do anything there without guide off piste. Be carefull who u choose from what saw most instructors there are terrible and one met in bat showed me a handgun he carries, maybe to put his guided class out of their misery when they cant get back from their off piste day out. Just b carefull out there

re: Borovets Off Piste?

Your obviously not English jonireb, or are you ??.. will admit that conditions in Boro do not lend themselves to decent off-piste... would not even have considered going under the gondola last week, for fear of damaging my skis... With snow (and access to the Mussala) great off-piste is available... trees to tight ??? i don't know, you boarders...
As for handguns, a female friend carries one, to warn off wild dogs when she is out mountainbiking, granted, she does not take it out and show ...

re: Borovets Off Piste?

Put it this way steve last week there wasnt a gap between any tree without big rocks or braches in between, beleive me im happy with trees with meter gap as long as got snow cover. Last week the snow hadnt penetrated tree areas. Granted under right conditions it might lend itself but ski reports here must be properganda. Ski club uk stated 80 cm at top before went. I actually tested all areas round top, off piste up to 40 cm on the run at gondala 5 cm all windswept. Their reports not too ...

Things were improving day left though so things looking up, better get back to repairing base of my board !!!!
