Other than the popular George (or Georges) does anyone have a number for a ski instructor who may be interested in private tuition in Borovets in March. Or is anyone here a ski instructor in Borovets interested?
The guy I'm renting a flat from accidentally gave me last years prices, £18/2 hours...when I wanted to book it suddenly became 35 EUR for two hours, some of this can be exchange rate differences but mostly just a pi$$ take I think. Thats alot of my hard earned money!

Try emailing Ice-Angels hotel, they do private lessons and would give you a price. Friends of ours skied with "Bobby" from Ice Angels a few years ago and he was very good. Sorry I don't have the number.

Bev can you please click on my name and email me info? Ta.
Kate, thanks I have emailed Stoyan also and will see what happens. What kind of price is he after? I get the impression they like you to name the price rather than have a fixed rate.
I will share what ever contacts I have gathered for others on here shortly.
I paid 40 lev for an hour in Jan as the ski group I had was painfully slow with beginners and intermediate mixed. This may have been very expensive but I checked with the reps first and this was under the price they gave me, but had to say it was worth the money. Going out 7th March on my own and will probably get some private lessons again but more time so the price may come down - if there are any intermediates out there who'd like a challenge maybe we could get together?
Caz
so it seems 30-50 lev for 2hrs one-one (per person) is acceptable to the tutors and I can live with that too.
i have not heard of anyone who has had a bad experience with 1-to-1 either, even caz who seems to have paid a bit more got value out of it.but remembering caz only had 1 hour - it might not be that bad actually.
One thing for sure is that some of the organisations are making serious profits out of these guys, 35 EUR = £33 = 66 Lev. Eg Stoyan giving sterling service at 50 Lev, ...

Ok, there is no guarantees, if your private instructor fails to turn up then what?
