And the people at mid station got up early to go back up!!
Next time just ask the instructor to meet you earlier, out of experience they won't mind.

We were up at 0700 Kids up at 0745 Ski place "Hunters" at 0820 ski rouund the back of the Flora to the Gondola get on Gondola at 0840 No queue.
Up at 0912. Always first on the slopes. Virgin snow etc. Must admit didnt relish getting up early but the benefits are enormous. Last day there were a few more people and got to the top 10 minutes later than normal. That is the secret.

have a great SKI Booze Booze

I must have been the one behind you on the gondola!!
Me the wife and kids also up at 7.30 for 8.45 start, Kas's hubby will vouch for me as he had to meet me two mornings in a row, looking a bit rough from night before. Ha. But must admit it is worth it. Not sure if i did not have the kids i would get up though.

re: Borovets gondala queue

DONT GO AROUND 10AM ITS ALWAYS BUSY THEN, ALL SKI SCHOOLS MEET THEN.

I got there each day about 9.30am last week and waited no longer than 5 mins. Mid station was never busy.

Why do people moan????? The resort is not going to change for one person.

re: Borovets gondala queue

Why are people affraid to take their boards or skis in with them if they can't get them to fit? I'm a boarder/skier and it so much easier to take your board in with you instead of trying to squeeze it in and jump in before the doors close. Anyway i'm not the most sociable on the gondala as i'm usually nursing hangovers so it doesn't matter who i'm squeezed in with. First lift last call! Booze
5 sleeps to go!

re: Borovets gondala queue

i was there last week and never queued for more than 10 mins...and the slots on the side will accommodate 4 boards if put in base to base.. i agree that people should fill the six seats though..if i see people not getting onto an empty seat i push my way through to the front and get on myself. i had a few huffs, puffs and tuts when i was squeezing in at mid station too..

re: Borovets gondala queue

Just back from canada and they have no problem there. Was at sunshine village on the saturday and the only way up the mountain is on the gondola. They have a system where people ask how many in your party. they then allocate you to get in a gondola taking yous skis of you and putting them on the gondola making sure each gondola is full by putting twos and fours together or two threes etc. If you dont want to get in you dont go and have to wait.By doing it this way every gondola went out full ...
