1) yes
2) the gondola takes you to the top of markudjik, yastrebets is another lift over to the right as you look at the piste map. From the top of the gondola you either forwards to the markudjik pistes and lifts or back (towards the resort) and hit the yastrebets runs
Its not that obvious when you get there either and if you gowoen the wrong run you'llfind you have to go all the way back to the gondola. Ah well, lucky you're on vacation.
Thanks for that Mat, now it makes sense. The piste map on here gives the impression that the Markudjik runs are above those of yastrebets. From what you've said, it sounds like they are actually down a diferent side of the same peak.
So are ye saying that if i ski down yasterbates 3 and popegelav runs i have get taxi or horse to reach the four man chairlift or do they all meet at the lift? does the yasterbates 1 run to the same chairlift or the bottom gondola cos looking at the piste map it ends up at neither thanks all im bit confused!!!
no matter where you start from or which runs you use to where you end up..youll be roughly in the same vicinity. its about 10 mins walk from either starting point. apart from the 4 man chair on the far right, which is a taxi ride away.
if your stuck just ask...... everyone will help inc. the instructors even if you are not with them..
the horse n cart or one of the BG winter rally team is an option at the bottom of yastrebets or catch the chair back up and bear right on the way back down... Our ski guide ''Angel'' skiied us back to the resort every time on the edge of the road and then cutting through the forrest from Yastrebets.. it can be done .. mind i was too Vodka'd to remember the exact route.... the place is fab ...

Its reasonably clear where to 'cut left'. on the way down from the top gondola station 200 yards before the path to the mid station cuts off to the right, you will see the Yastrebets four man chair top station to your left. Just switch pistes to the left at that point and you will find yourself heading (on either of two runs) to the bottom Yastrobets station which is usually cueless but only takes you back to the Yast Top station.
