There is a computer room 3L per hour.
In computer room they braid hair and do painting stuff.
The security guys are there for your safety. Don't worry
Hot chocolate with brandy is fantastic. Get them in.
The kids will learn better and have more fun in their own group. Give them about 15L a day for lunch and expet change.
I got best rate for travellers cheques in hotel bank open 24hrs.
Food choice is wide. Fussy eaters may struggle. We ate well. Pancakes at breakfast are good and worth the que. Plates are cold.
We did scidoo trip with kids. Great fun. They let the kids sit at front and have a go. Felt safe.
In fact felt safe all the time while in Boro.
Wednesday night the instructors do a show at 8pm ish. Worth going.
The swimming pool is clean and under used. Try the hot Jacuzzi.
We did a Sleigh ride. OK but as my 7 year old said " its a cart ride !"
Went on the Sofia trip on last day. Better off staying in Boro for the day. Nothing worth seeing in Sofia for me.
Instructors v good and fun. We had Vania and Kids had Luca. 1st class all the way and worked so well with groups that progressed at mixed rates. Needless to say Kids are better than us now !
Yes we would go again. Any questions.

re: Borovets report.

Thanks Simon. We're off to the Rila on 4th March. Was a bit worried as seen lots of bad reports. Taking 2 kids 10 & 5. Little one in Kindergarten older one at ski school. What happens at lunch with the ski school kids, do you meet uo with them or does their instructor take them to lunch? Also is it a mission getting your skis & boots kitted out.

re: Borovets report.

Hi Joyce,
The kids go for lunch as a group with their instructor and you go with your group. As it happened we went to the same place one day and found them just getting on with it. They have to handle money, decide what to eat, who to sit with etc. Its a good experience for them. Both ours went to Ski School so I can't speak for the Kindergarten.

Breakfast is from 08:00 at the Rila. Get ready as soon as you can and come down in Ski gear on Sunday for 08:00. It will be busy as everyone ...

We met our rep at 08:30 and got our Ski passes and ticket for kit then went to the alloted kit store. There was a 20 min wait in the sold then inside.
As for the kitting out its busy in there and it gets hot but the guys from Borosport know exactly what they are doing and sort you out. You are given a number which is on the tip of your ski and this is then your set for the week. Make sure your boots fit and if at all uncomfortable go back and they will change them. Ski boots are very important and can be the key to how you learn. Make sure they are right. They put your shoes on a peg while you are out and you get them when you return the kit. Do check, but I think Skis have to be returned by 17:00 each day.
After kitting out you get grouped up.

re: Borovets report.

did any of the kids have ski helmets? I'd like to get one for my grandson but don't want him to be the only one
wearing one. Also are the groups for ski school pre allocated or do you group up on the day? Reason I ask is we are going with some friends, we all booked separatley but would like to be in ski school together.
Sorry about all the questions.

re: Borovets report.

Loads of kids wear helmets so he wont be alone. The ski school groups ar not pre allocated so if you are all at the same level then you should be able to get into the same group. If you can ski you do a ski test and they try to put people into groups according to ability, if you cant then they will allocate approx 10 people to an instructor. Just back and had a fab time, will be going back again next year. Have fun.

re: Borovets report.

I was at the Samokov last week, and it looked like all the kids were given helmets by the ski school, and yellow bits so that you can see them easily on the slopes... all seamed very saftey concious to me

re: Borovets report.

When in March are you going Liz? we are going to the Rila on 4th. I've tri ed skiing once in Austria and hated it, but I have said I will give it another go, if I don't get on with it I might see you in the gym if you're there at the same time as us. I'm also hoping to do some snow trecking, don't know if you'd be interested in that. Someone has posted some routes on here that look good.

re: Borovets report.

Thanks Kev. I'll ask around in here. Don't want to buy helmets if they get them in ski school
