Borovets snow conditions

Hi, does anyone know what the snow conditions are in Boro at the moment? I have organised a lads/work do skiing starting on the 2nd of Jan for a week and I don't want to let them down with no or poor snow.

Merry Christmas all

I am exactly the same. Me and several mates are heading out on the second. Accordingly, the snow conditions look poor at the moment but I have been looking at forescasts which suggest that there will be plenty of snowfall from Saturday evening. I went last year from boxing day over new year, and there was plenty of snow, think positive! We can't change the weather.

I expect to see you guys hitting the bars anyway so I'll probably see you!

If this is the case Mat how and it is quiet normal to have no snow at xmas how can the tour operators justify selling ski holidays from the 19th Dec? Surely if this is the case they should not open the resort until the 2nd week of January.......now I know people are going to comment "well it is an xmas break" but be honest how many people travelling out this weekend booked it with that in mind? None I suspect and most would have booked it for one reason which is to go skiing! I know it is ...

I know it is not a snow sure resort and cheapish but if what you say is accurate there are alot of people travelling this weekend and who are already there who have been ripped off! I do feel for the local businesses who need the trade but perhaps Bulgaria needs to be a bit more upfront with the way these holidays are sold, after all you dont get sold a beach holiday in March on the basis it might be sunny and reach 70deg do you! So lets hope santa dumps that foot of snow out his slay all over Boro, Bansko and Pamps Razz

Good clue if the conditions are crap is that the webcam pics are not updated.. Bulgaria skiing at xmas is not a good choice

re: Borovets snow conditions

been the last 6 years at xmas and weve always skied so its not true to say theres no snow at xmas. The conditions at the moment arent great though, the problem is the wind, the Gondola side is not open again today thats twice in three days, and the rila side is pretty bad snow wise. We skied the yastrebets runs yesterday and they were really nice if a little slushy towards the end of the day as it warmed up. The winds are forecast to die down colder weathers coming in and NO ONE has skied ...

The winds are forecast to die down colder weathers coming in and NO ONE has skied the markdjuk runs as the snow has been blown off the very top, but once thats covered there will be some fantastic skiing to be had. Today we took the kids snowboarding and bum boarding as i have a stinking hangover Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz Razz Booze Booze
