Brave or foolish on own

I have never understood skiing but probably because I don't like doing anything I am not good at. However, desperate for a break and no children this weekend so trying to psych myself up for a challenge and since there is nowhere hot, thought I should face my nemesis.
Have found potential flight, confused by all the hotels so... should I just risk booking flight, ski lesson package and hotel in the hope it somehow all coordinates. Cant work out how far hotels are from ski schools etc ...

Also, is this an okay place to go as a single female, read a few review of people being hassled outside hotels. Had a knee op 4 moths ago but assuming there will be little steep slopes going on for me in 3 days. Any advice taken....and all on the assumption I can find someone with ski wear in next day or two!!

Firstly, and before anyone can advise you we would need to know which resort you are planning on going to.

re: Brave or foolish on own

I am assuming that it is Borovets. I started by looking at the ski school (hunters) and it doesn't make it really clear!!
The Rila only has a couple of rooms left and everything for one is going fast so not sure I will have that much choice.

What happens if they are not next to the school, is there a bus. Apologies for ignorance, I have avoided snow all of my life!

You will be fine, the hotels you mention are all an easy walk to the gondola lift - the Samokov is just over the road. Use this forum to get in touch with others who will be at the same time as you so you have some company to ski with. Btw the resort is Borovets. Have a great time Very Happy
