You'll be just fine, and I'm sure you'll have a terrific time.
A couple of weeks ago I travelled alone to Borovets (although I had spent time there before). I stayed at the Samokov Hotel and was very comfortable. Half board means you get breakfast and dinner included in the room price.
When you go down to the dining room, just join a table with a spare chair! That way you get to meet some fellow guests as well. It doesn't work for every meal, but I didn't mind.

As Boon says, try to link up with some people who post here, but several may already be out in Boro. Best place to go as a single female is Bobby's Bar - almost opposite the Samokov Hotel (as you leave the front entrance you can see the gondola station across from you. Bobby's is to the left of this, about 20m up the hill. Hunter's is a bit further up past the Flora Hotel.)
Anyway, I always felt very welcome in Bobby's Bar, and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Whether it's on the way back to the hotel dropping in for a hot chocolate with rum, during the day, or later in the evening, you'll be sure to meet people there.
Please post back and let us know how you get on! Good luck and have fun!
Hi I will also be out as a single female and looking to meet some new people, I'm at the Samakov to but dont arrive untill Sat night, will maybe catch up with you Sun night in Bobbys Bar or even Sat night if I dont get in to late.
