Bulgaria Ski discussion board

I have looked at websites for Crystal, Inghams, First Choice and Balkan out of curiosity. Balkan is the only one coming up with holidays on that date.

I would be a little wary. This is the end of the ski season and conditions could be very poor - then again - they could be very good - not very helpful I know, sorry.

I went out last year on 6 April (Bansko) but this was purely because I knew the snow was there and I was going independently. The resort was very quiet as all companies (possibly even Balkan then) had stopped going. Ice rink had melted, shops and restaurants were closed or in the process of closing down. Didn't bother me as just pootered around with my young son but for two girls out on a beginners holiday it is at risk of putting you off for good if you have poor conditions and not a great deal else going on.

I would not book to go to BG at that time of year now unless I knew the snow was there but then I don't book package. It is so up and down with the weather and snow conditions at the I would not know what to do for the best. You could have April 11th on green grassy slopes or on a huge dump of new snow but either way historically it is often on its way out by then in BG and it is the quiet end of the season.
