Try the Kempinski in Bansko. Surprisingly they gave the best rate I could find when I got there at Christmas 2.8 to the £

re: Bulgarian Levs

Marks & Spencer were a good rate in UK as Judith says above. Me and my boyf only changed £100 between 2 of us (280 lev) and used the ATM's over there.

re: Bulgarian Levs

Kempinski worked out at a better rate than the ATM outside the door.

re: Bulgarian Levs

The woman behind the counter reckons I wouldnt get a better deal anywhere, she was lying to me....I won`t be going back there...!!!
Was she wearing a big pink wig with floppy ears and big shoes as she sounds like a comedian....

re: Bulgarian Levs

i think I`ll be heading down to M+S tomorrow then to see what deals are going. if you get 280 levs i for 100 quid, then surely that is just as good as the ones in Bansko...

Many thanks again folks.

re: Bulgarian Levs

re: Bulgarian Levs

Just ordered my Lev's from Marks & Spencer this morning.

2.715 per £1 - better than any bank or travel agent rate I could find.

If you buy from their web site you need to use a M&S credit or M&S debit card.
If you buy from one of their in store counters you can pay whatever way you want (cash, switch, any visa).

I was told I can pick up my stash from Thursday evening!

Check out their web site for the nearest in store bureau.
