Bulgarian currency

Hello,

Happy New Year everyone. I am going to Borovets on 8th Jan and was wondering whether anyone can tell me if it is best to change my sterling into levs before I go or take sterling and change it in the resort?

aidan..... also remember that whatever currency you do change you will have to spend it before you fly home. this tends to be rather difficult as things are sooooo cheap over there. put it this way....the bartenders seem to get really good tips on the last night of tourists holidays ;o)

I think a few places do the Lev but would prefer to get it in Bulgaria. Has my other half states you are advised to have few Lev's with you when you are set to leave

I got some from Manchester Airport last year, but got a better rate in the hotel

I just spoke to my bank. You can get it before you go but can NOT change it when you get back. You are not meant to bring it back out the country !!!

What would someone say you would spend in a week ther, £100 and take sterling in case you need more ???

Are there ATM's in Borrovets and if so are they reliable?

Do not use ATM's - fraud is rife with them

Change GBP100 and take more sterling with you if you wish

Who do you Bank with? I am sure HBoS does not deal with LEV
