The problem in Borovets is that you don t know if the equipment is fake or not. So you really have to be aware about what you want to buy. And of course the price is a good indication. Don t expect to buy the last Colombia jacket for 100 euros !
To be fair not worried about labels (or whether they're real or not) - just interested in finding out what the base price is likely to be for jacket and pants (need to save as much cash as possible for the beer)
Hey Queen ,
the only orignals I've seen in Borovez was from Tresspass and Diel and the jackets cost around 300 levs, may be you can make a good deal with Rossignol but I will not believe it, so look out if you buy fake wear that the quality is good enough, all you can buy on the streets and also in the most of the shops are fakes, some really good the most poor qualtiy.
That's a good point Mike - one of the main attractions about Bulgaria is that it's so cheap - but the thought of exploiting anyone does sit uncomfortably! Does buying 'real' stuff out there really help them though - or does it just put even more cash in the pockets of the multinationals?
I want to buy some softboots in BG, is this a good idea or should I buy them in Belgium, at least then I know what I' m buying. In Belgium you pay around 150 euros for Northwave Legends.
How much in BG?
as everyone else has said you may get ripped off with fakes. If you want cheap gear, try either H&M (who had some really good stuff last year) - or if not go to TK Maxx, they have jackets for around £40/50 and trousers for about £30 - real ones too!
Im going to be there on the 24th too.....which hotel are you in?
