If you love skiing/boarding and can't wait until next winter. New Zealand is worth a though. Around 30 ski resorts, some of the best heliskiing and home of the world powder eights and also on the extreme skiing circut.

I skied in Canada in 1987, but I hear there are some great new lift systems so lots new to see and do!
