Iskar hotel chalet
We booked the whole place out as a group of 8. The houses/chalets at the foot of the mountains were snowed in so our van could not get up there. As a result we were ferried 3 at a time to the chalet. It took over an hour to and from borovets.

They offered internet access they did not have. they did not offer a choice of meals despite saying they would.
This is what they offered (from the website)
If you were snowed in I don't think you can hold the chalet owner responsible for that. Take a look again at what was offered, and if anything was not as described (no mention of internat access for example) you have grounds for complaint (sic). Otherwise not.
Individual fully catered chalets with en-suite facilities
Three course evening meal including Bulgarian wine

Pete, please do go on..... I am booked in with my missus on the 4th March. When i booked with the lady in the uk, all seemed ok. U r making me panic now. Also did u arrange yr own ski hire or did u get it from their suggested site - bulgarianaccommodation.com ? What else was bad with it , any info greatly appreciated.
Went through their suggested site, that aspect was good and the school was great.
Most issues were all the extras they offered if we booked as a group. They just appeared over their head and were in no position to offer some things they stated.
By the end when we expressed our issues it got nasty and thats when they started charging us for things they previously offered as free, left us in town one night to get our own way home and revoked thier offer to drop us in sofia ...

Although snowed in, cars and buses with chains were going past our chalet, but they didnt have any for their bus so we were ferried up. As I said it took about 1 and a half hours each way!
They kicked us out of the lounge area at 1130 one night and when returning from town one night at 1030 didnt let us in to the lounge.
They also share the lounge area for dinner and through the night and once complained that our background music over dinner was 'disturbing the peace'
As a group we had a choice of meals(?) No choice! And one night they served up a 'traditional sausage' which saw 4 of us being sick all night and 2 in bed all the next day.
Enough enough....Oh well, fingers x that it was just beginning of the season blips. March is still 7 weeks away, lets hope things have improved since then. Sorry to hear that u had a bad experience. I will let u know how ours goes when i return.....
It would have been more appropriate for ‘Dodgy Pete’ (AKA Anthony Chaytor's) to have written directly to my company with his complaints so that we could have addressed his complaint in a professional way.
There are always 2 sides to the story, so in response to Anthony’s complaints I would like, as the managing director of Iskar travel, to mail a public reply.

Anthony has been economical with the truth as what he has not stated is that we have had to issue a court order against him in respect to getting him to pay for damages that he and his party caused on returning from a drunken night out in Borovets.
To correct Anthony’s comments.
Our website clearly states on page 1 that we are outside Borovets, situated in the village of Govedartsi. The Website is factual and honest on what we offer.
It is family run accommodation and we make no attempt at hiding anything. I am proud at what we have to offer for those that what a good skiing holiday in Bulgaria.
We are an English based registered company with an accommodation complex named Iskar Hotel Chalets.
Each night we informed the guests what would be on the menu and asked for feedback for likes and dislikes. Each night all the plates were empty and we received high praise for the chocolate puddings. On Christmas day there was a full tradition English 4 course Christmas meal complete with homemade mince pies and Santa’s gifts for the guests.
We don’t and have not offered Internet access.
All offers were complied with, including 12 bottles of free wine, which the guests promptly consumed on the first night.
Additional items purchased from the bar were fully itemised each day and I had to remind the party that the bar bill needed paying before they left for the airport. We have never suggested that we operate a free bar.
The day that the party of 10 went out in Borovets, a minibus had been pre-booked with us for 10pm. The bus waited till 11:30, the driver and I both tried to contact the guests on their mobile phones and messages were left – they never responded to these calls. At this point the driver could not wait any longer and we advised the guests via text message that they would have to catch a taxi. We did not charge for the minibus hire that they had pre-booked and subsequently didn’t turn up for.
We did and do offer free minibus shuttle to and from the slopes for skiing every day. We only offer transfers to and from Sofia airport and did not offer as suggested a free lift into the Sofia city centre.
The guests that were ill were extremely drunk the night before and they were the only one’s in the complex to be ill, myself, my staff and the guests all had the same meal only the very drunk guests were ill the next morning. I don’t think it is the management’s place to apologise for such self-inflicted aliments.
We did experience difficulty with getting the minibus directly to the hotel due to the heavy snow we had on the day the guests arrived. We did use an additional 4x4 to ferry the guests the last 800 metres from the minibus to hotel.
Sadly this group showed little respect for the chalet hosts nor the property. They seem to have mistaking booked a skiing holiday when what they really wanted a weeks pub crawl.
Finally the use of my Christian name as a derogatory pseudonym for your authors name puts the whole tone of your email into perspective. Anthony is clearly out to cause mischief and really should feel ashamed of his actions.
Anthony if you feel you have a real issue with the holiday that you booked with Iskar Travel Ltd then I invite you to write to us directly stating the problems you encountered, so we can reply to you in an official capacity.
I have nothing to hide so have included my full details below.
