Hi Benn

Keep your finger crossed Benn, you should get some good skiing / boarding in. You will have a great time anyway.
I wouldn't worry, as a boarder and a beginner you will spend most of your time sat on the floor, warmer on grass than snow lol. You will be fine you won't be going much further than the nursery area until at least day 3, your partner will either love it or hate it, with or without loads of snow. My first time couldn't ski for two days, one was because of the rain, second day power cut and couldn't get up the moutain. I am hooked and hate missing it.
