Currency HELP!!!

HEPLLLLLLLLLLLLP Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation
went to the travel agents today to order some Levs to take with me when I go To Borovets on 7th Feb and the travel agent say we cannot take currency into the Country....is this right????
I read somewhere that you could take 5000 Levs into the country without declaring it....
Help please

We are off on the 14th Feb and only taking sterling, I think this is fine as friends who have been several time before told us that what to do.When are you off?

We got ours frrom Thomas Cook - usually takes about a day to get in. Only taking around £50 or so in lev as sterling is best

We also got some levs at thomas cook but there is a cashpoint and the locals prefer sterling or dollars and give you a good exchange rate.

Same for me, went to the T/Agent today for a few levs & they said that they had stopped selling them this week. I will try to pick some up at manchester airport on the way out just to have some for food & drinks on the first night. I intended taking sterling & changing it there Booze Wink

Got levs at Lunn Poly - no probs just two days to get them. Just got £50 to last first couple of days
