Currency HELP!!!

We got some Levs at Gatwick at 2.5 to the pound. We went to Pamporova - The rate there is 2.6. Very easy to change sterling notes, cards are not taken in many places. Quite a few ATMs around.re: Currency HELP!!!
Also 2 cash points - one nr the Gondola and one across the road about 100 yards up in a white building - good rate as wellMiffy

It is not worth taking levs into the country. The exchange rate is not as good. Just take new sterling no rips or writing on and change at the reception in your hotel. Do not change at Sofia/ plovdiv airport or let any of the hotel staff change it on the side for you!(you might get ripped off) Why take Dollars all that extra hassle is not needed. Once and for all let us try and put this topic to bed JUST TAKE STERLING and change it over there!

I was not asking what to take as thanks to Pamps Petes essential guide and the fantastic advice from all poster I was aware that the way forward was Sterling....
I'm just a guy who likes to have a bit(£50) of local currency in my pockets to pay off local officials.................oh yeah and emergencies
any new users who need advice on first time in Bulgaria, what to take etc, try reading this..............daniel, Thanks for that
