DRAG LIFTS ONLY??

Am I right in thinking that there are no chair lifts in Bulgaria?I snowboard (badly) and haven't got used to boarding using the drag lifts.
Can someone let me know what the story is in terms of reaching the top of runs.

There are gondolas in Bansko and Borovets and Chairlifts in all the resorts.re: DRAG LIFTS ONLY??

I was waiting on advice on lifts etc before choosing a resort.It will be my first time.
Which resort is best in terms of snowboarding, lifts, and location.

Pamporovo is said the be the best for beginersand there s a half pipe there...

Iam not the person to ask have only been to Borovets.
The slopes there in my opinion are ok they don't like boarders but we have that problem everywhere apart from the USA. There is not much money going round in Bulgaria so it might not be what your used to. However people on this site seem to realy enjoy the area. Put a post to Megaluca or PP they in my mind would be your best bet.

Pamps is excellent. 3 man chair will take you to the top and the back blue is where most boarders hang out.Contact Gary at the Snowshack for lessons, he, Steve and Ted are the best you will get anywhere for lessons.

got back from Boro last week was V.BAD all round for boading. Pamps was miles better, and far more through the trees type routes down.I spoke to people who went to Bansko this year ands said the slopes and the new equipment was great but the nighlife was crap. Hope that helps !!
