re: Dont tip!

How can I be tight. I would pay more in a service tax where I knew I was going to get better service. Wink

re: Dont tip!

The thing that gets me about tipping is that same jobs seem to warrant it yet others don't. When getting off a plane you never give a few quid to the pilot and say thanks enjoyed that have a beer on me...yet a taxi driver you'd be expected to. They both take you from A to B

Why should you tip restaurant staff yet you shouldn't tip cabin crew. Some of the job is identical in fact the cabin crew probably deserve it more....moving those trolleys things looks hard work to me !

If it's about wages and some jobs being low paid.if you have a problem with your salary go and chat with your boss don;t pass it on to the customer. That's how my job works and quite a lot others from what I see.

And tipping in America is just a farce....hi my names Steve and I'll be server your server tonight, here's your food, enjoy your meal, is everything ok with your meal and maybe have a nice day........is that really worth 15% !!!!!

Food for thought

re: Dont tip!

In Bulgaria they work on the principle that if you pay your staff well they don't have to work hard.
Therefore they work hard to provide you with good service and you tip them, this makes it possible for them to live on the poor wages they receive.
If the service is poor then don't tip they will soon realise and work harder or they will go hungry.
This is the same principle all over the country, sounds like a good idea and maybe we should try it over here.
