Dad used to tell us to count red cars when we bored on journeys as kids, amazing how many you get to before getting fed up!!

You could always play snooker, whilst driving, ie red car then colour then the colours in sequence. F.V.

We used to have a comp at work when out on sales calls, 5 points for an Eddie, 3 points for a Norbert (Dentressangle) + 1 point for a lorry with a camel (think it was to do with salt) - made life a bit more interesting!
