Molya = You are welcome.
Izvinete = Excuse me
Ne razbiram + I do not understand.
Good luck and enjoy partaking in a little Bulgarian. It is always appreciated and, I think, always good manners to try a little of the local lingo wherever you may be.
Nice one Kim!... I've copied and printed all those and I'll try them out! Been going to BG for 20 odd years and never tried the lingo!... Typical Brit I suppose when I go away expect everyone to speak English!
DDT! 20 years and never an uttered BG word - you should be ashamed of yourself!
Thing is - as a country I think we ARE very lazy with lingo because - as you say - most people speak English. I always remember my times in France (working or on hols) when I was SO keen to improve and build on my French but every time I spoke to someone in French they answered me in English! It used to really annoy me.

I just think to be able to say (if nothing else) "please" and "thank you" in another country goes along way in terms of manners etc. Always get a nice response as generally the locals of whichever country do appreciate the effort.
I remember one time away in Greece and being in a restaurant and some really loud English bloke shouting at the waitress "oi, I want some brown sauce", "oi, can I have another beer" etc etc - I just cringed and felt ashamed to be English - lol.
"Manners maketh man" and all that.....
Enjoy trying the lingo DDT and have a great holiday!!
