Molya... the word that means everythin Wink our instructor used it for loads of stuff, including please as ako o bichate takes too long apparently... this is apparently widespread too Very Happy

Priyatna Vecher = have a good evening
Lecka Nosht = goodnight (literally going to bed!)

Also, you can use merci to say thanks but I always preferred blagodarya... I've an email pal met through the rosetta stone shared talk site who is helping me with Bulgarian so hopefully I'll be a bit more fluent ...

Snowy - you say that you can "say" cyrillic - yeah ... but..... tell me how what you have printed - someone would know how to pronounce!!!!!

Rach - you hit on a point I meant to mention but forgot, which is that "merci" is used more often than not as thanks.

Happy hols to all and enjoy the lingo!

Thanks PETE for sending me the link on how to SAY it. He's the only one who sent me the link on how to SAY it not to SPELL it, that's why I asked HIM.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts, off skiing now.

Well done, Kim.

Also, if you do a search on iTunes there is a free Bulgarian for beginners course which is downloadable as a podcast ... from survivalphrases.com

Their catchphrase is 'Remember... a little Bulgarian goes a long way.'

So, Tigger, keep your eyes open for a little Bulgarian. Wink
