re: Fake gear?

The only issue i have with fake produce, not that it stops me. Get quite alot of fake stuff, generally not clothing though. All these things be it fake clothing, dvd copies, e.t.c. There all linked to huge international criminals, who use the profit from this to traffick drugs, people, guns. People make their own decisions, it's not down to me or anyone else to tell you what you can and cant buy.

Check your labels!!!
Virtually all ski clothes are now made in China including top brands.
There is a Bulgarian brand called Diel, which is made in Bulgaria and is really good quality and inexpensive. Wearing one of these jackets at -15oC last year on top of the Tordorka - I was as warm as toast.

re: Fake gear?

Well,

I the jackets we bought for £75 each in Borovets two years ago have now been on 6 weeks of skiing holidays. One of those was a week in Lapland, inside the North Pole. It was -20 odd most of the time and I was as warm as toast. Nothing has ripped or fallen off my coat and I'm well chuffed with it.
As for organised crime etc, are you happy that the money you spend in this country doesnt go to support criminal activities? Course it does in many different ways, some far more terrible ...

By the way Bansko Beaver, you've obviously got the idea.
Are you going to Bansko on the 7th?

re: Fake gear?

Best you stock up on black pudding from market before you do. Make sure they're proper ones though, where even the white bits are black.

As it happens I'm going to the Orphey on the 7th too.

Wanna buy a coat?
