There is February and there is February 1/2 term week. There are also two half terms and the latter one Sat 15th is more expensive. A lot of the websites offer flights 11 months in advance based on the return date. So Air BG were not offering flights for 1/2 term on the website until 22nd March. However if you had phoned their London office before that date they were taking bookings with a promo rate of £196 rtrn. At the same time Lufthansa and Air France for example were offering flights over £200 (not direct flights). It does seem however that Lufthansa released some more seats last week as a return to Sofia could be had for £170 although these were limited in availability. The cheapest that I could find from Heathrow to Sofia for the 15th Feb was with Al Italia however that included a 12 hour stop off in Italy somewhere which made the journey time 20hrs. I also tried single flights out with one airline and single back with another however whilst that works with trains it wasn't working with the airlines. There are plenty of cheap flights during Feb but not necessarily 1/2 term week 15th -22nd and any of the cheaper ones are definately limited availability.
