The other option is to go to the gondola mid station and back up over and over if you want to really get your sea legs sorted before using the chairs but as stu says the Yastrebets chair is pretty tame unlike the vicious Markjuik one.
We are coming from Gatwick. No doubt we will bump into you in Bobbys or elsewhere around town. Of course, you may see our mob and decide to steer clear ;-)
It must be getting time for a March 2/3 roll call...
Yeah on the slopes and the piste map. Google 'Borosports', theres a piste map on there. They'll also be a mini one on the back of your lift pass, or you can pick up a full foldout one at the gondola front-desk.
Just realised as well that I got the wrong ski area name. The vicious chair lift is the Martinovi Baraki one. This is the one that starts in front of the Rila Hotel.

re: First Times
as first timers .THE MUSALA PATHWAY IS A DISASTER FOR SNOWBOADERS WHO CANNOT MOVE IN A STRAIGHT LINE.it then just turns into a LONG WALK.i would suggest take the sitnyakovo chair to the blue at the top.warm up there then take sitny 1 down to the path, try that and if that goes well then try musala. if not there are plenty of slopes to bale on steve.g
