I stayed in Samokov hotel last week. Everything was alright except the bath tub was blocked on the first night and I had to ask for help through the reception. The food at the hotel was hot and plenty of choices. Dinner start at 6, if u go at 6, the food will be hot, don't go there at 8. If you see oranges and clementine, i would advice u to try, they are very sweet and juicy. The clementine was ugly outside but they were very nice. U can actually take sterling there and get it changed, the rate is better and u can only change it while u need. I found the bank at the basement of Hotel samokov had the best rate. It is just outside the ski depot. If you really don't like the food there, try the Pizza restaurant on the downhill side of Samokov or Green King opposite the gondola station.
Overall, i like the resort (cost, environment and runs). Hotel was alright as it is near to the gondola station for u to get good ski runs at the top of the mountain. This was my first time skiing, I would like to go back next month but I don't have money and holiday...so sad...
