Having being in Pamporovo the last 2 years I found the people very friendly and helpful. However pay attention to taxis when going home with a few beers on board. Make sure the fare is generally the same each time. Eating out can be a bit hit and miss, service and quality can vary (same as everywhere I guess). Prices are quite reasonable for food and drink.

sorry for the confusion guys it was early in the morning i meant eu. The travel agent said to take euro's or levs but most people advise take levs and english money in pristine condition to tears or marks and change this over there. alternatively just use the cash machines, but i would def recommend having some money in case for any reason they are not working,
