So Pete,

last year a get a real gaint ham and eggs, every morning I want. Okay I get this what I order, but they have bacon. But if I eat it I need another hour of recreation, because it was so greasy and unhealthy.

So hope Angie, will make you a great breakfast tomorrow.
One question what you are drinking for at breakfast???

Oh dear, so now I understand a bit more why your country is so different.
Can't start my day without some fine coarse wholemeal bread, milk or strong bulgarian mocca or cold milk with nesquick...

So lets meet the next time for breakfast, may be bulgarian way.

I think Dave has been given a bit of a raw deal here. I think he is trying to say that some of the hotel food is very ordinary. We have just got back from Bansko and thankfully (by the sounds of it) stayed in an apartment. There is a supermarket in Bansko where you can get anything you want which is great for breakfast and then we bought lunch and dinner out. We had some really great and cheap food at the restaurants in Bansko. The service was prompt and the servings were generous. But ...

Can't understand what people are moaning about. Just got back from the Rila in Boro, food was great, always hot, always topped up, even changed if it hadn't all gone but had been around for a short while. Lots of Salad, vegetables, vegetarian dishes, bread, cakes, fresh fruit, chips and pasta. Not always what I would call British either, and the breakfasts certainly were not British, very continental indeed, no different to many 5 star hotels I have stayed in in the past all over Europe ...

Our tables were cleared away regularly, staff very friendly and attentive, restaurant extremely clean and tidy.

Graham, Dave has made a constructive criticism, he has not slaged off the food ,He has a point, the food in the Rila was certainly cool to completely cold while i stayed there in Jan, and when i say cold i mean , sone cold , not good service and not nice.
I think the amount and the veriaty of food was good but i dont like my food cold, I have been told by bulgarians that they dont want there food soo hot it burns the mouth ,maybe so warm would be a start but im sorry to say they cant even ...

Jacqui, i read your comments with supprise ,all i can say is my own experience of food in the Rila is cold , stone cold , unless you were lucky enough to be standing by the table as the cheff brought it out. and as for the comments that if you get to the breakfast room for the start of breakfast its hot , well , what if i dont want to get there at the start of breakfast , food is offerd from a start time to a finish time during the morning and it should be just as good at any time during this period.
As for the comments about being lucky to get food for the price , if you think this so you are certainly wrong, I am a customer and as such i am not interested in the pricing polocys of the hotel , i just want a price and when a price includes HOT food , i expect HOT food ,and i dont think thats too much to ask. Perhaps the rila could use heat lamps above there food counters and then mabey it would stay the same temp as when the cheff brings it out , not soo hot it burns the mouth , just hot or mabey warm would be an improvement.after all we pay the price the Rila asks, however cheap, and to me hot food is very important.
