Gas Supplies to BLG

Just tuned into the news and heard about the potential problems with the gas disputes from Russia affecting the likes of Bulgaria and Turkey ...any idea what type of reserves these countries hold?

BG has 2-3 days reserves and my heating in Sofia is already reducing. Ukraine on the other hand can hold out for months...

Hopefully the EU (of which of course BG is now a member) will manage to negotiate a settlement so that any long term crisis is averted. However, my thoughts are with the poor folk of BG and elsewhere who are now suffering as a consequence.

BG gas reserves can last for at least 2 months on emergency supplies levels(less Temp in the residential,non at schools and non -emergency hospitals,much less at factories and businesses until situation improves.
lets hope Ski resorts wont be touched or we will see again like in the early 90's- BG looking like a Giant Discotek from space with switching on and off in turns.

Whilst The Ukraine and Russia disagree Bulgaria has declared an emergency situation, Bulgaria is being held hostage where the main gas supply is concerned and innocent people are suffering. many schools have closed, sick people in hospital are suffering due to lack of heat, ski resorts will be effected if they are dependant on gas. 90% of Pamps is not dependant on gas so it will be ok, my advise is to check that your hotel is not gas dependant or you cold be very cold. There are a couple of threads going on this but Bansko looks like to be unaffected...Borovets is another matter...there is a link on the BBC website as well.

how do you know Bansko wll not be affected?
Just to put my mind at ease!
We are travelling out next Saturday 17th, is the Guinness hotel run on gas.
will the gondala be shut????
i'm beginning to panic a little we have 3 kids and 2 big ones eally looking forward to this hol. Sad
