Getting to Pamporovo

Hi I have been to Pamporovo 3 times all with balkan holidays. No problem with them as they always seem to be the cheapest option and they fly into Plovdiv wich is a short transfer approx 1 Hour 20mins. The one thing I dont like and is not helping to persuade my partner to come with me is they use Balkan flights, wich means crappy Russian Tupolev planes not very nice! I know crystal go but i am put off because they fly into Sofia much longer transfers. Anyone know of anybody flring into ...

iM ALSO WITH INGAMS GOT A GREAT DEAL, VIA LUN POLLY THEY KNOCKED A FAIR BIT OFF THOMSONS PRICE BY THROWING IN FREE INSURANCE. WE ARE SHIPPING OUT WITH BRITANIA ON A 757. WOULDNT WORRY ABOUT HOW YOU GET THERE, ALL AIRLINES TREAT PASSENGERS AS CATTLE AND BUILD SEATS FOR MIDGETS, JUST TAKE THE BEST OPTION FOR YOU AND HAVE FUN ON ARRIVAL.

re: Getting to Pamporovo

Hi Mate,

I just booked up with Crystal to travel out on the 1st Feb to Pamp. I am flying into Plodiv and the flight number starts with a 'BY' This is the flight code for Britania Airlines owned by Thomsons. Hopefully this is right and I won't end up on some Russian cast off from Airoflop.....!!!

I quite like the Russian airplanes.... Adds that 'authentic' feel to the holiday! My young lady paled as I explained the condition and make of the planes but, I'm sure a few vodkas at Gatwick will get her through the journey OK!

If you go into Lunn Poly, you may well find that they will do a "Price Match" for a Crystal holiday - and chuck in free insurance. They did for me.

re: Getting to Pamporovo

I booked mine through Inghams online and got the £20 per person reduction which just about covered the excess from flying from Birmingham. I tried several travel agents and they could not match the same price as Inghams online price.

My cousin who is a manager at a travel agents then stepped in and said she could see what she could do - and she could not beat it..

I am awaiting for my tickets to come through to see who I am flying with I am assuming it is somebody like European Air ...
