Bulgaria Ski discussion board

OK guys, yes it snowed slightly last night, but not enough to make any real difference. 2 x drag on the Rila side are open which is ok for pure beginners and yastrebets 2 is open, but that's it. Once again today the ski schools are shipping people (above basic standard) across to Bansko which is not ideal as it's very long days but at least people are getting some skiing in. Last night was thunderstorms and temps of 5c both here in Samokov and up in Borovets. A lot more snow is needed and the temperatures are just too high still at the moment - the local children are playing outside in the road at the moment without coats etc which is just unheard of for this time of the year.

Not sure if Balkan are doing it. Hunters are and have 2 full coaches today. They are not making any charge for the transport, but people have to pay for lift passes. If they arrived Sunday then their Borovets lift pass was cancelled in advance so they didn't need to pay for that as well only the Bansko one. There are a number of people who have booked for 2 weeks though so they have already paid for the Borovets pass and now need to buy additional for Bansko. In addition, they are just getting half day pass but In Bankso this starts at 12.30 (not 12 like Boro) and yesterday was 41 lev,,,,in Boro, a half day pass at a weekend would have been about 17lv.
