I wouldnt wear a helmet or hat with speakers in and never listen to music on the mountain, I live in fear of not being able to hear a someone scream as they come down the mountain unable to control themself and being taken out and getting hurt as my music was too loud!
Safety first and all that rubbish, must be getting wise in my old age!
to be honest I have never as yet listened to my Ipod on the mountain, but saw the ipod earmuffs and just had to buy them, although they will probably never be used now I have a helmet!!!
Justine we are there until the 28th Feb, there are 3 of us, me, my hubby and mum in law, how about you?
I never ski with the sepakers in and I don't have an ipod or mp3. However just mentioned it as the earmuffs were mentioned. The selling point for me in buying this helmet was not the speakers but the £30 price tag for what seems to be a decent helmet. My last helmet was £10 from Lidl.
Me and my boyfriend are currently out in Borovets at the moment. We bought helmets for this trip as he's had a few nasty falls in the last few years. Thank god he had his helmet on today as he took a big fall and smacked his head on the slope, no doubt if he hadn't been wearing his helmet we would be at the medical centre as opposed to in the bar drinking cocktails. I've been skiing for a number of years and have noticed a lot more people wearing helmets this year
excellent, glad to hear that so many people are wearing them and I won't be the only one! Thanks for everyone's replies! Just got to hope for snow now, otherwise I'll be sproting my new shiny helmet in the bars
after reading all the posts regarding wearing helmets and the near misses some of you have experienced I have decided to buy a helmet for our trip to Bansko in March. Been looking on ebay where there are a few but not sure how the size works could any one help.
