Helmets

Hi,
Am off to Borovets on 21st February and I was just wondering how many people wear a helmet when boarding/skiing?

Wore ours for the first time 2 years ago and now wouldn't ski without it! Even my image concious 15 year old lad likes his - it keeps his ears and head warmer than a hat.

Go for it Suze - there are no downsides.

Thanks for the comments, I have just bought one as am always a bit wary of falling and banging my head.
looking at the webcams there doesn't seem to be many wearing them, but better to be safe than sorry I suppose

Looking forward to getting out there on the 21st.

In Pamps last week i'd say about 20%, were wearing them. My family did, and when my daughter got tonked by the draglift she walked away smiling, not nursing a lump. I had a fall that might have really hurt had I not been wearing the helmet....up until 2 weeks before we werent going to buy helmets...it was advice on here that changed my mind.

Thanks, I think i will be sensible and wear one, otherwise knowing me, I will really hurt myself! I'm glad that you and your daughter were not hurt Bradders.
I'll will just have to save my trendy hat and ipod ear muffs for the evenings!!

I bought one this year, and its black and shiney and goes with the rest of my outfit ... lol, I keep putting it on and wearing my goggles round the house making darth vader breathing noises .... bring on the slopes! haha

We go 26th Feb and to Borovets and staying at Rila Apts.
