Help! Advice needed

hi guys - please can someone help...?
my girlfriend and i are heading out to bulgaria in two weeks and cannot decide between Bankso, Pamporovo or Borovets... We are TOTAL BEGINNERS who want private lessons, but also want to be somewhere beautiful and with a good atmosphere.
Any suggestions???
would really appreciate your advice - and also, any tips on where to stay would be HUGELY appreciated. Small, friendly and comfortable sort of place......
Thanks in advance!!!
Tom

re: Help! Advice needed

Borovets can do all of that and more,

More reasons to choose boro,

A. its only an hour and a bit form the airport.
B. you dont have to get buses back and forth to get to the slopes (from most hotels)
c. everything is on your doorstep.

Tom why do you want private lessons? These are good and the price in Bulgaria very reasonable, but learn to ski week can be great fun and a really good way to make new friends for your holiday. Try it then have private lessons next time.

hour and a bit from sofia, 2.5 from plodiv, pamps 1.5 plodiv about 3 hours sofia.

personally I prefer Bansko, but for a beginer pamps is possibly best. nice easy slopes good to gain confidence on.

Guess where my vote goes? Very Happy Very Happy

There's more to do at Borovets and the snow usually lasts longer. Everything is within walking distance and it's easy to find one another. Recommend Ski package and if necessary have a private lesson before or after ski school. We usually stay in Rila hotel, which isn't small or cozy but great location and views from room balconies.

Good luck and enjoy wherever you go

Me and my boyf were beginners in Borovets last year. We stayed in the Lion which was lovely and modern and its voted #1 in Borovets top hotels on tripadvisor (which says a lot I think)

Can't compare to the other Bulgarian ski resorts as I havn't been but we have booked to go back this year with another couple we liked it so much.

You can get what you want out of the bars and nightlife, a cosy drink by a log fire or a crazy night out with plenty of alcohol. Its fab - go!!
