Nico - although I love BG and have seen great changes in 20 years, dual pricing does go on, mainly in restaurants. That's why I usually eat with my BG friends.

re: Horseriding In Borovets??

Hi Nico,

Zdravei. And hello from Great Britain...well was great once. Very good point about it being seasonal. I have only been to Boro' twice. First time was in 1989 when the country was still communist and things did seem a bit austere then. I have friends in the Czech Republic and know that in Prague and other large cities a double pricing system does exist. Am in Boro next week with my eldest son. So hope there is some snow. Mr W and borogirl,
Dualpricing is "officially" forbidden in BG now. I think a big improvement.( before my BG friends bought my skipass for me about 50% cheaper). Of course everybody knows - like everywhere - tourist pay more in a skiresort than locals do in ( out of resort) bars/restaurants. Mr. W. go down to city Samokov for shopping / restaurant / hairdresser / buy food / cigarettes / alcohol etc. overthere, much cheaper than in Borovets. Enjoy your time with your son ( much more ...

Do i have to know how to ride a horse before i can do horse riding on snow? I haven't been riding a horse, does it mean this activity is not applicable to me?

Calvin

It is trekking (no galloping), so as long as you are confident to sit on a horse and have the right money, they will take you Very Happy

Ask your ski instructor to arrange or walk round and arrange yourself. They usually go out past the ski jump - good fun Very Happy
