Hotel Pamporovo Pool

Hi all,

Going skiing for 1st time on 29th Feb. Have read several reports about the pool water in this hotel being on the cold side.

Does anyone know why this is and would they crank the temp up if we asked nicely!

Also, is there a restaurant in that nice looking tower at the top and if so what are the prices like??

17 days n counting!!

Stayed there last week and though I never ventured into the pool (what sort of apres-ski is that?) my son spent hours in there and said it was a bit colder than you would expect back home but not too bad.

As for the big tower there is a restaurant at the top and prices are comparable with restaurants on the mountain - there is a 5 lev charge to use the lift to get to it so that adds a bit onto the price of your meal.

Have fun.

Helen - the pool water was the perfect temp for swimming in BUT never enough room for much of a swim as people just tended to chat or float about.
I work at a Pool and it's much safer to have a lower water temp - I never go in pools that feel warm as there will be either a higher concentration of chemicals or bacteria!!
The air temp could do with being a bit higher so you can sit around in more comfort. Maybe if enough people comment they may take some notice!!

We loved the hotel and ...

We loved the hotel and found most of the food quite enjoyable specially the soups and salads but check the chicken carefully as it was not well cooked enough.
