@Nickfox - there is a bank in the basement of the Samokov hotel where we got a better rate than at the Crown Exchange booths, (roughly and extra 7 leva per £100 no deal breaker but a couple of extra pints)
The Samokov reception exchange booth had a much poorer rate (worse than the Crown booths).
If you are planning on going into Samokov town the rate is even better - difference between there and the Crown booths in Boro is about an extra 14 leva per £100 (or in beer terms and extra 4 or 5 ...

hope this helps N

re: How much money to bring?

Sorry Nick forgot to say - you have struck gold!!!! you are going to experience some of the best conditions Boro has seen for a few years. If you happen to find yourself in Bobby Bar say hi to Kas, Matodi, Vala and Stancho Bancho, if you find yourself in the White House (top of the mountain) say hi to George, Bobby Jr and the girls. Hope you have a fab time and don't forget to tell us all on the board about your experience
ENJOY!!!
