Hi Jackie
I know the feeling we are having to travel from Yorkshire to Birmingham for the plane (not good) as its the only flight we could get back at the start of September.
Not too sure yet about the hotel.
Will your daughter be in Kindergarten?
As for your original question 'How much money to take' it obviously depends on how free with the cash you are .

I have been alone on years gone by and had to manage on a tight budget of £45 but then again I dont spend all night proping up the bar,I tend not to want much for lunch and was on a half board basis.
It's worth being aware that although people say that Bulgaria is very cheap ,on the ski slope prices are not,if you are in ski school the instructors tend to take you to their favoured eating places where they get their food and drink for free as well as a small bonus hense the steep prices for the Brits.
Which tour operator are you going with?
I don't think she will be in kindergarten. I think they start proper ski school when they are 7.
As for money, I don't spend much on booze (being almost teetotal) so it's soft drinks & lunch + an unknown factor for medical expenses. I think £500 should be a big enough buffer and hope to bring most of it home again.
We're going with Crystal. How about you?
What has happened to your hotel? Why are you changing?
I'm also wondering whether I will be able to meet up with my kids ...

I'm also wondering whether I will be able to meet up with my kids for lunch. We are having 4 hours tuition per day.
We are going with Balkan.
I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I understand that in Pamporovo children are not allowed in ski school until they are 8 years old ,although some people I think have lied about their childs age to get them into the school although this has some negative effect on insurance cover.( you may want to do another posting on this site for more onfo)

With regards lunch meetings it is possible to do so but is not easy as different groups tend to vary their lunch times and durations.
Also whilst compared with French resorts Pamps is large enough so as not to see someone again all day.
As for the hotel situation it would take too much explaining here and now.

I'm glad you told me that. I checked up with my travel agent and they did make a mistake. They have refunded my booking for my daughters lessons & skis and she will be going to kindergarten. I wonder whether it will be the same one as your daughter. I'm sure that she would like to have a friend to go in with. She's usually got her brother, but not this time.

Hi Zav,
I'm glad you told me that.
