How much should i give the kids each day for dinner?
I Know prices have gone up and the instructors encourage use of particular establishments (thats the norm all over )- but the last time we skied Borovets my little ones instructor encouraged him to buy a pitza and chips etc and drink in excess of 10 lev of which he only ate a little each day! They have told me they would prefer to just buy a plate of chips and a drink, so how much would you advise i give them each day at ski school to not "get exploited" (in a nice understandable ...

The instructors tend to advise 30 lev per day. As we have 4 kids we gave them only 20 lev per day. In reality they spent around 6-8 lev each.
The drinks can be expensive but we gave them a bottled drink each day and a muesli bar each day as well.
This may sound a bit tight but the kids had a big breakfast and evening meal so a snack of somethink like pancakes or an omlette was enough for them and they were happy.

I find it best to give my kids a pack lunch and they take drink and 5 lev for chips and an extra snack bar. You can buy sandwhiches etc in the local shops, this is the most economical way of doing it.

Can't speak re Boro although I have skied there on numerous occasions. Having been taking school groups to Pamps for 17 years and we budget on £10 per day (£4 - 8 lev for a snack mid day) and that has included a full pizza or half pizza & chips or toastie and chips and a drink! Find out where they are going and sort it out yourself. Chips and a drink would be 6 lev at most in the restaurants we use...and that's this year!

I'm with the big breakfast brigade, and then make sure they have a Snickers or Mars Bar in their pocket for lunch, and give em some money for a couple of nice, cold cola drinks.
Who wants to stop for food when the luvverly snow is beckoning?

So what would be the average cost of a lunch for 2 adults, then? How about dinner? People only speak of cheap and expensive and I have no idea what that means
re: How much should i give the kids each day for dinner?
From memory of last year I got lunch each day for me and my son. We would both have a drink and share pizza and chips or get toasted sandwiches and share chips or something similar and never paid more than 20 - 25 lev for both of us. I also used to give my son approx 10-15 lev per day when he was having 1-1 lessons a couple of years ago for lunch and snacks and he always came back with change if that helps you Ian.

I used to give my son 10 levs a day for pizza and a drink as he was a snowboarder on his own, but I think prices have gone up this year.
I would give them 20 levs a day to be on the safe side they will always bring the change back and you can work out then after a day or two how much they need.
