re: How much should i give the kids each day for dinner?
If they are in a ski school, the instructors tend to take them where they get a free meal. These are not always the cheapest.
There are cheaper places about but my kids were charged 4 lev for a bottle of water 8 lev for a single pancake etc. We have four kids and we did mention this to the instructors who did subsequently take them somewhere slightly cheaper.

Cheers Folks- yes i did notice the instructor took them to pre selected places where their feed was free, but thats the norm all over Europe, they are low paid and any extras they can get is undersandable. both kids have agreed to take a mars bar or whatever and a drink and just get some chips at lunchtime etc as they are not fussy and hopefully this will suffice!
Cheers again for the comments

hi,
a lot of people are mentioning they carry on skiing through lunch, for all beginners please think this may not be the best idea, no1 you will get tired and no2 the instructor needs a rest as well, it is his lunch break too

re: How much should i give the kids each day for dinner?
We had put our two kids thru ski school and found that they ate and drunk to the tune of 30 - 35 lev per lunchtime. If they are old enough... get them to cost it out and ensure they get the correct change! One establishment tried arguing with our 10yr old regarding the bill only to realise she had memorised the prices
Agree fully with a bar or two to snack on during the day.

We always take a hard boiled egg & some fruit in our pocket from the breakfast table for a snack. The hotels we stayed in didnt mind, we had paid for it!!
I'm one of the big breakfast brigade also. Usually only have a cofee and snack bar at lunch time and the big dinner later!!
Was on a lift with an Asian guy last year....He couldnt stop laughing when I took out the egg and started peeling the shell off. He took photos....he hadnt a word of English tho!!
