I was in Bansko in January last year. I don't think we ever got to the gondola before 9am, and I don't recall ever waiting longer than 10mins to get on it.

re: How to avoid Bansko Gondola
Half term is the busiest time of the year & everyone descends on the Gondola at the same time, I would recommend staying in bed until 10am, get some breakfast & head up to the lift around 11am everyone is usually away by then. But to avoid this completely don't go on Half Term. (I know this is no help to teachers & parents alike , sorry!!!)
great tip mark, we'r going with a car next week, could you tell us how to find the road up the mountian, does it go from by the gondola station?
thanks
lewis
The road passes the Gondola on the left. Carry on straight up and you are there. Just be aware that if there is a large snow fall... one can dream :-). you will need chains.
The car park is 10- 15lev.
You will be skiing at least 45 min before anyone else, fresh tracks ...
I Have been out 4/5 times already this year.
I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old. With a child this young they let me jump the que every day. And that was at peek time 9am.
