A card is the way to go, BTW that last site Onmybumski mentions is only in English & French, and anyway is based in the US so you wouldn't get it in time for your trip. I hope the words he emailed you reached you in translated form - they bore no resemblance to the letters on my card!

Although I have a card printed from dietarycard.com, I shall still take breakfast cereal, rice cakes, gluten-free pasta and snacks that I know are OK for my son to eat. (He is 14 too and does find it hard at times.) I would suggest that you take some foodstuffs that you KNOW are safe for him so if there is any difficulty at the hotel he won't go too hungry.
And if you don't already have one, go and see your doctor and ask for an epi-pen.
may sound daft but then zinc tablets are realy good but do need time to get into the system, wont stop an attack but certainly help to reduce its effect I found this out from a kinesiolgist they are fantastic and realy helped me when I seemed to be getting no help or advice from the doctors, I have other food alagies as well and this has been a god send. Yes Iam one of those pains in the neck who has to ask whats in that?

The cards on that site are printable from your computer, a translator will be able to translate the relevent info about the allergies onto a card using the same format. Which obviously work as emergency cards.
Any Idiot can see that what came out on the board was not any language known to civilization so it wont be any resembalance to your cards. As pointed out in my post directly afterwards.

thank you and everyone else for all their advice tonight regarding our son and his allergy we always carry his epipen with us but we like to be prepared for all eventualities, a pain i know but better safe than sorry, if all else fails we could always leave him at home.
Thanks again

Please be careful when offering translations. The written Bulgarian "Алергичен към гайки. Allergic to nuts" is not correct. This reads "I am allergic to wheelnuts!" In bulgaria nut for eating and nut on the wheel of your car are different words. The rest of the translation is nearly understandable. Don't mean to be a smarty pants.
