IS BORO A SAFE PLACE?

i am going to borovets in a week with my family. i have heard since booking that it is a scary place. run by mafia and not safe to walk about in evenings. i am now worried about going. we have never been skiing before and was really looking forward to our holiday .

I was there 2 weeks ago and ive never been to a more friendly ski resort than boro.
There are some dodgy looking people around but they dont bother anyone and just go about there business. You and your family will be fine just go out there with an open mind and you'll have a fantastic time.

as long as you pay the protection money upon arriving at the hotel you should be fine!

also, be prepared to find the odd horses head on your hotel pillow when you return from a night out!

I went at the start of January and I found they use the Mafia term to keep the roudy brits in order its all pretty toothless and mainly around the clubs. You will find trouble if you look for it, not if you dont. Same as anywere. If you are taking kids go in one of the bigger hotels as some like the Moura have strip clubs in them !!!!

Having said this I decided to take my 4 kids to Andorra last week to learn and the set up there is fantastic even if there was 'to much' snow! And it's ...

re: IS BORO A SAFE PLACE?

No it is very very dangerous place they mug and rape and pilage all english tourists. Then hold them to ransom. They greet you at the airport with pitch forks and herd you off the planes into carts. Do you honestly think that major tour operators would send you to a place so dangerous? Would you be asking the same question if you were of to New York? Or Naples? Thought not. I give up Crying
