Boro is a very safe place and relies on the tourists for their income so no one is going to frighten you away.
The Bulgarian Mafia is heavily involved in all areas where momey can be made which is a big problem for the Bulgarian government but not for you.
Go out to enjoy yourself as you would anywhere and you will not know any different.
I have been looking into setting a business up very near Borovets within the last 6 months so I have seen vast amounts of information on the subject ...

ok ben you friend got attacked leaving a night club, thats bad news , but the same bad news you could find anywhere in the world ! Della , i have just returned from borovets , spent a week there , had a great time ,im affraid to say the only trouble i saw was a druken englishman trying to pick a fight with a bar man in the rila , at about 3am one night , his girlfriend standing proudly behind him while he made threats to the barman, this im afraid is english ,not bulgarian , i guess from ...

Im sorry i was late to view this post, I like to see Daniel constantly giving up but allways returning with spirit to put those idiots right who try to put the fear of death into folk (keep it up there!)
Bulgaria is safer than going out in London, Manchester, Newcastle, well any city centre really.
They have their way of life and welcome you to their country, dont insult them by looking as though you dont feel safe or comfortable with them.
