Jocrad and dave s, I can't believe you don't carry your insurance details, who is going to run back to your hotel to fetch them when the medics want to know if your insured, you get the little plastic credit card with all the telephone numbers and insurance details, what do you think that's for? leaving in your suitcase. Your insurance details are to be carried on your person or written into your mobile phone. Mad

Niki not all insurance companies provide the cards etc, I'm insured through my bank so I just have the number in my phone, I'm not taking the massive booklet up on the slopes each day lol

take your sarcasm elsewhere

Dave_sYea i don’t take my insurance details up with me on the slopes,

your words not mine, then you say of course you do carry the information in your phone, I am not being sarcastic but deadly serious, everyone should carry insurance details on their person, people are stupid not to.

looks like sarcasm to me but nevermind, I'll admit I should have worded my post better though

I also bet quite a few don't even bother getting insurance at all, stupid when places like direct-travel do it at £20

I photo copy all my insurance details and ensure each person in our party has the details of their cover on them at all times up the mountain.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the details should be kept on your person whilst pursuing a winter sport.

Regarding the person above that has their insurance through their bank......I'd like to see you trying to explain this to bulgarian emergency services when you require them to scramble a helicopter to get you off the mountain and you tell ...

Think about it!
