Is it just me or is Borovets getting pricey?

Just had some pricing come through for a weeks holiday.

For the lads without equipment and requiring lessons £470
For the lads with equipment and skilled in the art of falling £412

Seems to have gone up a bit from last year or is it just me?

Have just booked Pamps, going half term, and it's cost more than double what I paid last year, not half term.

Just pray for snow and remember what value for money u get out there!!!!!!!!

Try just about anywhere else in Europe and you'll see that Bulgaria is still excellent value.

Everyone says how cheap it was, and the Bulgarians like everyone else know when they have a marketable product. It will grow in price year-on-year so enjoy it while you can at still low prices compared to other destinations.

Seems to be the best value in europe. But then skiing has never been cheap.
I still have to take my daughter out of school coz I cant afford half term prices.

I think it is wrong to up the pricing anywhere, just for half term holidays.

Yes everything seems to be increasing in price.
Although still reasonable value, there are other locations which are no more expensive and have probably more pistes.
So Bulgaria needs to be careful that it does not price itself too high for what it offers as it is not Austria.

Hold on a sec - lets get this into perspective

I've booked for two of us to go to Borovets on 5th Feb, staying in a superior room at the Iglika with full ski packs (including lessons) for a total of £725 - try to get that price anywhere else in Europe.

The ski packs alone in somewhere like Andorra would be £350 with only 18 hours of lessons (at most) not the 24 hours you get in Bulgaria.

Surely though if look at the situation, the quality you will get in Andorra/Austria/France is far superior to Bulgaria....I mean the food for 1 is foul! How does everything manage to taste the same? They have to be careful not to price themseleves out of the market......if in doubt book a late deal. Last year my friend and I booked in Jan to leave in early Feb. 1 week stayed HB in the Perilik in Pamps £250 each incl skiis etc
