does anyone know if the joining of the EU for bulgaria is still gona happen on 1st jan 2007???do you think that levs wont be valid from that day??

Hmmm, on the face of it there would seem to be some progress over here, although it may easily be cosmetic - hard to tell.
I'm in Sunny Beach at the moment, and the presence of the 'large chaps in leather coats' is far less prevalent than last year, and I have yet to see one vehicle with fully blacked out windows - it's as if a law has been passed against it.
Prices are rising though in resort, which is never good, and there seem to be infernal squabbles between holiday-makers and taxi ...

I think it would benefit bulgaria alot if they did join the EU...i don't think much will change until they do joinre: Joining the EU
Bulgaria will be joining the EU on 1st January.
They have made significant progress in all of the areas highlighted by the EU Commission, and well on course to recieve the green light in final report, expected late September / Early October.
Kate, you really are ill formed. I'd be surprised if you even know where Bulgaria is!!

Zdrasti ...Off to Sozopol on Monday, Sunny Beach is getting too big for me! Great for the younger person though, there are lots of Danish here at the moment and they seem to be having a great time! A good-natured bunch.
Hello Tanny, as Queen of the Sandfleas can you fight a battle for me against the Sand Mosquitos, they have conquered me this holiday, I am running low on blood!
Back home on Wednesday, then it'll be time to plan that ski holiday again ...
