Pat, good guess:there IS a law passed against having a car with blacked out windows and another law against moeny -laundering, including property confiscation...
Bulgaria will be in EU as of Jan1 2007 and the euro will be official currency not earlier than 2010. All countries that joned EU retain their national cuurencies, only Slovenia is about to introduce it in 2007.

Its not a question of choice, the said country has to meet the necassary criteria to join the euro. Personally i fall in to the camp that feels this will not bring any benefits to Bulgaria (euro not eu). I also think 1 jan is still on, but there will be various restrictions and criteria in place, it will not be a 100% full on membership from day 1, much as many of the last entrants had various restrictions placed on them.
