Skiers are way not hazardes, boarders are the worst my mom she realy is crap at skiing and because the other 6 of us were good our instructer took us down blue, red and black runs, whilst my mom was just coming down the slope really slowly a boarder crashed into her and knocked her half way down the mountain it really scared because my mom started to cry and my instructer Stoyan made us go all the way down to the bottom and call it a day, which was so not fair, and it was all ...

But apart from the boarders my holiday in Borovets was fantastic, i tyring to persuade my mom to go back next year, i reccomend it. Nikki xxx
(i only 14 just thought i had better write that just incase you thought i was a lunatic around 30 years old going on a skiing trip with my mom)
So your all Boarders, who hate skiiers! or Skiers who hate boarders! Well Im not as narrow minded as you lot.
Why dont you take the blinkers off and try to understand "that we are all there to enjoy the mountains. Wether we do that on a board or skis is irelevent".
This skier vs Boarder thing has gone on too long. And most of it is spread by people who cant actually ski or board that well at all. Because if you could, you would understand the above statement!
The worst sort of mountain user are the ones that claim they don't like a person doing another sport to what they are doing.
Don't winge, ride (on skis or a board)
Canada has the right idea, slopes for skiers and slopes for boarders and then there are slopes that they can share, either way bulgaria is not big enough to be able to do this, so what do we do?.................we respect each other and once we are past the stage where we do not have to stay on the green slope, we move on (especially in pamps, we move on so that those who are in the schools and learning can have the space to gain confidence............it does not take much to loose ...

And if you are not confident enough to get on the blue, red or black, then deal with the issue of overcrowded greens, after all everybody sees the piste map in the brochure and you know that there are little in the way of greens.
And most of all...........ENJOY BULGARIA ITS A HOLIDAY AFTERALL.
Hi All,
If you went to Borovets and claim to be a good boarder instead of moaning about skier's i'm sure there are runs up the Gondola just for you Boarder's!.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong!
P.S. 1 of our party was a beginner and on a green run! , was knocked straight down a red run by a Boarder coming down a red run! said it really s*** him up but i did'nt hear him complaining. If this boarder was on a red does that mean he should have been able (experienced) to avoid a beginner?
I think one of the problems, which occurs mid week. Is sometimes there are simply too many people (skiers and boarders) who have had there first few lessons, then they go off on thier own. They think they are good, because they can point down hill and go. But the problem is they dont have the experience or abillity to read and react to the snow conditions and the other riders in front of them. And we've all done it!, I certainly have!

Hi
I think one of the problems, which occurs mid week. Is sometimes there are simply too many people (skiers and boarders) who have had there first few lessons, then they go off on thier own. They think they are good, because they can point down hill and go. But the problem is they dont have the experience or abillity to read and react to the snow conditions and the other riders in front of them. And we've all done it!, I certainly have!
I know sometimes it seems as if its beginer boarders, but this is because they only have 3 days of lessons, then thier let loose with no guide or instruction. So having no choice, its not really thier fault.
But after all this, I bet everyone here has had an "out of control" moment and ploughed into someone else.
So lets not say "I board" or "I ski", lets just say we all do "mountain sports".
