Lenny, I respect what your saying, but im aware of your history as well, and im afraid the russians p*****d on your expansionist ideas a lot more than we did, you ended up fighting on the 'wrong' side in both world wars to increase your lands, and after 45 even the russians wouldnt support your aims, so yes THE national holiday, which i must admit i celebrated in style with my friends and their families, but the dear old turks came along way way before us

To add a bit to Fifi's comments. Mega thanks to her & her other half for making my 1st ski holiday a good one. I'm the "can't ski, won't ski" friend & she & George Petrov (instructor) did a bloody good job teaching me to ski. I'm not in any champion league yet but who knows what another holiday might bring Very Happy George was very, very patient with me but I don't know if I've forgiven him yet for taking me on one of the green runs on my 3rd lesson with him but he did get me down safely. ...

I'm not in any champion league yet but who knows what another holiday might bring Very Happy George was very, very patient with me but I don't know if I've forgiven him yet for taking me on one of the green runs on my 3rd lesson with him but he did get me down safely. I've definitely not forgiven Fifi for taking me on the other green run in the afternoon of the same day - as if I hadn't had enough fear to contend with George she just enhanced the terrified aspect of it all. But, like a good friend, she coaxed & gently bullied me along. No doubt she felt like shoving me over the damn ledges when all I wanted to do was curl up & die thru absolute fear but as I live to type this I guess the girl done good.

Like she said, the Ela is a nice hotel, we had the barking dogs at the back of the hotel but on balance they were probably preferable to being kept awake all night by the disco or whatever out front. Food not to my taste but could usually cobble together some sort of meal from what the hotel offered & there were plenty of cafes etc to eat in. Happy Hour from 8-12pm in hotel was brill, I found a new friend in Jack Daniels, fear turns an almost tee-total to drink Razz

If you haven't been to Boro before, go with an open mind & have a great time whatever you do.
